- There are 35 residence halls with housing capacity of about 3,500 students, 18 eateries, 6 theaters, and 205 student clubs of which there are 22 local/national fraternities and sororities.
- Hofstra has a vibrant campus with hundreds of social, academic, and cultural events throughout the year.
- The Hofstra University Museum of Art is nationally accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The museum, with a collection of more than 5,200 works of art from the world’s diverse cultures, offers four original exhibitions annually along with related programs that engage varied audiences. It also oversees an extensive collection of outdoor sculptures featuring 75 works of art.
- The university libraries contain more than 600,000 volumes and provide 24/7 online access to more than 200,000 full-text journals and 900,000 electronic books.
- There are 21 varsity sports. All sport teams compete at the NCAA Division I level in the Coastal Athletic Association:
- 10 for men: baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track and field (indoor/outdoor) and wrestling
